script consulting

Kris works internationally as a script consultant on a diverse number of projects, including genre, art film and serial television narratives. Apart from consulting on individual productions, she advises and lectures on screenwriting and mentors students at various institutions such as LASALLE College of the Arts, The School of Art Design and Media (ADM) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and School of Film & Media Studies (FMS) at Ngee Ann Polytechnic. Previous engagements also include Purin Short Film Camp as well as the National Youth Film Awards (NYFA) Script Lab.

She was previously a script consultant at HBO Asia (2019-2021), and a script reader at Giraffe Pictures and Village Roadshow Australia where she read and consulted on a variety of English and Chinese language television and film projects. In 2024 she continues to seek training to deepen her understanding of screenwriting and script consulting and advising.

Kris is particularly interested in supporting Asian filmmakers in their unique processes of development, whatever they may be. Her background in cross-cultural stories also lends her the natural ability to support international filmmakers looking to tell stories in Asia with sensitivity, specificity and authenticity.
